no sound on on demand.

the sound is fine on the tv, on the DVR'd stuff, but on demand is ghostly silent, nothing will turn the sound on again. I have gone through every setting and option. I have rebooted so many times, this has been going on for a week,. agravating, Ihave to hope shows are repeated and catch them onthe DVR when they run again. this hasto be a problem for others. tired of reading closed captions while watching TV.

Is it all On Demand?

Do you have sound on stb set to fixed and at highest level?

Have never heard of anyone else having this issue.

Possibly a Dolby Digital audio is on those on-demand channels.  If your TV doesn't support Dolby Digital, you need to find the STB audio options and change them.  Fairly easy to find on the quantum STB.   I've forgotten how you get to the hidden manual an the non-quantum STB to do this.

For the older QIP boxes, try going to the hidden menu (from on hit power off, ok menu.

You may want to force to L-PCM or, if your set does support DD, you nay want to chance from auto to passthru.
