The "Favorites" listings with the new channel guide software does not start with the channel that you are currently watching (like it did with the old software and the way it should operate). When you push your "Favorites" button, the channel guide listings begin at some random place in the listings and when you toggle to "All" channels listing it gets more random. When you are watching the lower number channels (4 & 5), the "Favorites" listings begin at the very end of the channel guide listing, at channel "1952".
I totally agree and actually just posted a message entitled "Favorites fiasco." It is an illogical and extremely user unfriendly modification. What in the world was someone thinking? Try "negotiating" your favorites in the dark like the rest of night owls. Impossible.
This is a reported bug. One of several they will fix in a bug fix release probably rolling out early next year.
The issue is not the software but the lack of training of Verizon techs. The Favorites menus can be used as in the past, but it requires several steps to get it working. None of the 3 techs with whom I spoke had a clue.
