My parents have spent several hundred dollars over the years purchasing movies from On Demand. The word "purchase" implies that it's now ours, that we can do what we want with it. We've never looked into it before because there were STB in every room, but we want to cut back now, and I'm just now finding out that "purchases" is a complete and total lie and that Verizon charges full DVD price for movies that are literally only long-term rentals that can only be viewed so long as you stay with Verizon. What the **bleep** kind of bull**bleep** is that???? We "purchased" movies that can only be viewed on a Verizon STB or mobile app, except not all the movies can be viewed on the mobile app. This is **bleep** ridiculous. How can you call something a "purchase" when I don't get to actually own the movie or watch it where I want when I want.
You can view purchased movies even if you stop Verizon account.
