I have seen numerous references to the firmware version. How do I check my equipment firmware version and how do I update it if it needs it?
Solved! Go to Correct Answer
System should update automatically (although some people did have issues).
I assume you ahve Quantum as that is what was updated.
To check verzion, do Menu- Settings- System Info
Should be Release 1.0b for the latest.

Yes, my boxes are 1.0b
Thank you.
Sooooooo....my very recently installed VMS1100 shows Release: APR-1.0. If that's not the latest, how do I get it to update?

Verizon forces updates down so nothing you can do yourself other then a possible cold int, however that is the latest release that you have.
Release : APR 1.0
Build Number 03.24.2
UI Version: 03/24/2 (3248.3)
The next big update is rumored for late May, but that like all other updates is subject to change.
Ok.
Earlier in this thread CRobGauth reported the latest version was 1.0b. Since I don't have the "b" I figured maybe I didn't have the latest.
But if the only way to get an update is to wait until Verizon forces one, so be it.

That post was also from Sept. of 2014......
The way updates work is they are released by regional markets in phases so when your area gets it, everyone gets it pushed out to them.

Yes, and since that post was from months ago I figured I should have that same revision by now.
But I'm reasonably happy with the way our new Quantum service is behaving so I'll be happy to wait until Verizon pushes the next update to my region.
There has been several updates since 2014. That b version was old. Mostly all minor updates with no huge differences, some bug fixes, etc. but there was just a huge update a I believe in Feb.
There was actually a minor update rolled out last night. I don't know if everyone got it at once or they are rolling it out in phases, but most are guessing this is all preping for the next big update that's coming.
