weather channel local weather Why do I get Newark when I live in brick

I like in brick and get newark as my local weather when I turn on the weather channel. WHY???? when we had comcast we use to get toms river or belmar. which is close by. Newark is like a hour or more north.

With FIOS TV - they only have 1 weatherscan server at each VHO - which serves an entire region.


With Comcast - they had one at each local headend - which provided much closer forecasts. Total limitation of VZ not wanting to invest in more hardware.

For us here in VHO8 - for those customers in Southern DE, their weather is based out of Philly - how'd you like your local forecast over 100+ miles away..
