Spontaneous shut down for Ellipsis 10 16GB

I purchased the Ellipsis 10 for my son 10 months ago. It now continuously shuts down whenever the battery gets below 60%. The only way that it will stay on is if it's plugged into a charger....which obviously makes it frustrating when we are on the go!

It does this whether he is watching a video or playing a game.

The latest updates have been installed and this is still happening.
