Can receive email. But will not send. Outlook 2010

Send test e-mail message: Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). That is the error message i am getting my SMTP is outgoing.verizon.net. I have no clue why its not working

Check your Outlook Settings for your account.  Make sure the outgoing port is set 465 and SSL Encryption.

In Outlook:

Click

"File"

"Info"

"Account Settings"

"Change"

"More Settings"

"Advanced"

On the more settings screen, hit outgoing server and make sure you have "my server requires authentication" &"use same as incoming" If that doesnt work, the autofix tool at the website works well. www.verizon.com/repair
