The 1st time I tried to create the sub-account, I got an error --but it gave me a form to fill out to create the account and then gave the error when I clicked to create it.
Now, I'm unable to login to verizon/yahoo. After I enter my password the info on the bottom left of the screen shows "waiting for verizon.edit.client.yahoo.com..." is blinking over and over and it doesn't connect.
A rep at verizon told me that they had discontinued subaccounts in january but he said he would try to do it anyway. I had been on the phone for 2 or 3 hours with them and didn't have the time at that point to continue.
Yahoo portal partners cannot create new sub accounts that gets email service. You can create a sub account that is for use only on the Verizon end.
In January they stopped giving email service all together to any new customers. Anyone that created email before then will have normal use of email service.
Your options are to use someone else for email service or remove the Yahoo portal from the entire account via the profile section of the primary user id. There will be a change experience option at the bottom of profile section of Verizon.com (Not the webmail page). Follow instructions and back up all emails on Yahoo
I was able to access the subaccounts using internet explorer. (I had been using firefox which kept giving errors). There were alot of subaccounts listed that I had forgotten and I was able to delete them. Going to create a new one next. Thanks.
