EMAIL - SPAM BLOCKING?

Does anyone know if Verizon will ever add a spam BLOCKER instead of just a spam filter which puts spam into a folder ,but does nothing for future spam.  Need a spam blocker.

The only thing they have besides a SPAM filter is an email address block.
