This has happened just a few weeks ago..every email that isn't from a friend I can't see any images.
All I see is red X's and blank page.It happend with places like Groupon,Kohls.Bed & Bath and many more.
The thing is that I have always had these email and never had a problem see ing them until few weeks ago,
I've checked all the boxes that need to be checked like in internet tools and advance.
What could be the problem.
My other emails like Yahoo and NetZero are OK and I can see the whole email with them.
Thanks
Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same issue and can't find a solution. Using Win7 and outlook 2007. Thanks.
In email settings- options - Images in HTML- show all images should be checked. As a last resort (Internet explorer 9) - internet options - advanced - restore advanced settings
Tried that, no luck. I even re-set-up my email since it worked fine for a week. Thanks for the reply though.
OK, First let me say the verizon tech was useless. Just walked me thru the email set up and said it was up to me to contact the software company for a fix. Considering it was a Fios issue (my legacy comast account still worked if I made it default), they should be considered a waste of protoplasm and 15 minutes...but I digress.
The issue is in Java. After getting the Fios certificate error for a week ('It can't be verified, doe you want to continue" window.) I updated Jave JRE to include the Outlook directory and that was resolved. But the old Java version was not synching with Fios in some way for email. I fiddled with Java and updates, restarted my computer and presto!
Not sure what the exact fix was, but it's in Java's ballpark. Verizon, why don't you research that and post and answer? Oh, yeah...
