Between yesterday and today a large number of older emails have disappeared from my inbox. I don't think i deleted them. Last night my android phone was reporting many more messages available for downloading. Has anyone else experienced messages disappearing?
Normally messages only disappear from your Verizon webmail inbox if your phone (or other device) is configured to delete them when "moved" to it. There should be a configuration setting on the phone to "leave email messages on the server" if that is what you want to do.
Also if you did delete them accidentally they S/B in the Trash folder in Webmail
I check my email through Outlook 2007 on Windows 7 (although I can't send outgoing messages except through webmail) and have always had the "Leave a copy of the message on the server" option checked. I've sporadically had my most recent email or two disappear for a month or so now, but as they were newsletters I'd intended to delete anyway, I didn't think anything of it. However, today I received an email from a friend, replied to it through webmail, and then saw it disappear from my webmail inbox. I did not delete it myself, and it is not in my Trash folder. I double-checked my Outlook settings, and "Leave a copy of the message on the server" is still checked.
Now I'm worried that emails I'd been expecting for work purposes for over a month have disappeared out of my inbox the same way. Is there any way to find out and to retrieve them if so?
ETA: Well, that was bizarre--I just found the missing email from my friend in the spam folder. Why would it be sent there after I'd already replied to it?!
