HTC cell phone can send from Verizon email account, but phone doesn't recieve any Verizon.net emails

I've used the phone flawlessly for Comcast, and at least I can send emails after the Verizon switch.  What could be the problem prohibiting the phone from receiving Verizon emails?

I was getting an error about snt-m.hotmail.com for a while, but that warning is gone now and still no emails. 

Domain is set to www.verizon.net and server is set to snt-m.hotmail.com.

I am confused, is it a verizon email account (xxx234@verizon.net) or is it a hotmail account?  why do you have any hotmail settings. 

Try following the instructions at www.verizon.com/repair 

they should set you up just fine if you are using a verizon.net account.
