I use Windows 10 and latest Chrome
At the suggestion of a very knowledgeable friend who is a Verizon Community Leader
I downloaded and installed for FREE these two programs

Ghostery Makes the Web Cleaner, Faster and Safer!
PS: It worked before the migration to AOL and had to do nothing to them after the migration.

Which interface are you seeing this on? I don't see it on AOL webmail (and didn't when it was still Verizon), or thunderbird, windows 10 mail windows live mail, Samsung Android mail, Gmail, or iPhone mail.
Possibly something installed, that you want to remove. What internet security suite, if any, are you using. If you don't use one there are some good freebees to do one time checks for MALWARE.

Window 10, Verizon Email account while reading Email. I also have Norton 360. I will be reading/answering Emial and get random sound bites of advertising. I can turn down the sound on my computer, but do not see that as a solution. Yesterday it was all All State Insurance ads and it has been others in the past. I have looked on my opening email page for controls but cannot find any. I also have a random problem of Verizon locking up requiring recovery and sometimes a restart of the program. Did not seem to have this problem before Windows 10. These types of issues create an irritation with Verizon's website. I appreciate your taking the time to respond.
