Recently I cancelled my old account with Verizon and set up a new account. When I logged onto the internet after the change, the system would not allow me to log on with my old email ID. It said that ID was not available (it was actually taken by me). So I had to change my email address. I would like to get my old email address back so that I don't have to notify a lot of people about the changed email address. I spoke with a rep from Verizon last night, and he was not helpful - he just said I guess you'll have to keep the new address. Any suggestions?
If you can't get your old email address back, consider using a non-Verizon email service such as outlook.com or gmail. You can even buy your own domain name for not much money. If you're going to have to tell everyone about your new email address, might as well be one that doesn't depend on your relationship with Verizon.
Good Luck

I agree. When you change ISPs, not having to notify all of your contacts about the change is really nice. It's easy to miss one.
I am having the same problem.
I was on the sight trying to figure it all out for the last hour. After about 10 minute on the sight, I got one of those Chat windowns... This kid pops up claims that he can help, and then he takes me arount to the "Premium Channels" page four times.
I just waisted the last 45 minutes with some kid that just wants me UPGRADE my package. Now that I have a huge headache, all I can do is laugh.
Don't plan on using your email address or purchasing movies in "On Demand" (it's ok to rent, because you plan on loosing that money) because if you account gets suspended for more than 45 days, you loose it all.
