Known email blocked by Verizon Online's anti-spam system

Recently emails were being blocked from a sender whom I have been regularly receive emails from for the last few years. They found that when they created a new email and sent it to me it was blocked, but when they replied to an email I sent them it was not blocked. Today this is happening to a sub-account email address associated with my account. I dont know how many emails I missing due to this issue. Any suggestions why this is happening and how it can be resolved?

You can resolve it in the old system by logging on to webmail and marking as not spam. 

However they are in the midst of migrating everyone from that system to AOL.  So it might or not be blocked when you find yourself there.
