Missing search box on email screen

I find that occassionally, the search box on the top of my email screen goes away. Basically that entire top portion/frame disappears. Does anyone know how to fix this? I don't see any hide/show button like they have for the left and right panels. I don't think it's my ad blocker causing it.

I use Chrome Browser.

On far right side I can move the page up and down and can make the search box area disappear
