Need help configuring Outlook

Please Help. I can't configure my outlook 2010 acount manualy or automatically. When doing it automatically I don't get any indication of why. But when doing it manually I recieve an error message indication that outlook cannot connect to SMTP.

Are you configuring an @verizon.net email address?

There is a setting that says "my server requires authentication" that you should have checkmarked. Outgoing.verizon.net is the name of the server
