Recently I have been unable to send email messsages from my phone. I have a DROID Ultra and the outbound settings are as follows:
SMPT server: smtp.verizon.net
POrt: 465
Security Type: SSL
Require Sign-in: Checked
Authenticatino method: PLAIN
Username: ************ (without verizon.net on the end)
Password: ********
Having no issues with inbound, but all outbound stick in my outbound folder.
Any help is greatly apreciated.
Thanks,
Erick
Solved! Go to Correct Answer
Just getting a message that says 'Message could not be sent' the message is only about 50 characters. Just a link to a video I was trying to send. I dont' send emails from my phone all that much so could've been happening for a while. First time I noticed was last week.
Hmmmm...tried resending this afternoon and things are finally sending again. Strange. Prior to today, I did still have outbound.verizon.net as the server. Mayb I just needed to power off and back on for settings to take effect.

Are you getting an error? How large are the messages you are trying to send?
I'm having the same issue. Did anyone get back with you? Thanks. -ShellyD1964
