I just had FIOS installed. Internet and TV are great, but after extensive looking at this website and several calls directlhy to Verizon, it turns out that new installations do NOT get a verizon.net email account... It's not a dealbreaker, but doggone it I wish that was made clear on the FIOS order page.
I hope new subscribers are made aware of this, because it is REALLY annoying.
You can get a free id from AOL.com (a Verizon company).
They had previously announced they were moving all their email customers to AOL.com. They already did so for the customers in CA, FL, and TX, prior to selling those states off to Frontier.
