Nonstop SPAM

The amount of SPAM I am receiving with my Verizon email is out of control. I do understand that AOL handles the email system and it is obvious they are using no filter system. Their website states "While most spam emails are being caught by our spam filters, occasionally some can slip through." This is false, every single spam email is coming through, about 50-75 a day. Verizon should not be able to dismiss this at not their problem. You cannot hand off your responsibilities to another company while your name is still in the mix. Verizon needs to take back the email system.

I have also noticed an uptick in spam being sent to my verizon.net account. Most of it is being sent to my mobile phone's Spam folder. Once in a while some land in my Inbox.

I'm thinking about contacting AOL. Verizon, despite not processing @verizon.net Email, might want to reach out as well as the company name is still associated with the accounts. 🤔

Way more spam than usual is getting through the spam filers and making it into my inbox.  It's like someone cracked the code on how to go around the AOL mail server spam rules. At least 30 have got through today, easily.

Agree. This is getting to be ridiculous. Dozens of spam emails are making it past the spam filter now. And marking things as spam triggered an email from AOL trying to sell their spam service.  Come on Verizon, step up and step in!

Something definitely has happened recently...my inbox was usually really clean, but suddenly in the past week or so I'm being inundated with spam email, and it's my personal address that I don't use for online shopping, etc.

My verizon.net email has also received a very noticeable increase in spam over the last couple weeks.  I'm easily getting over 50 to 100 a day.  The spam ranges from porn to fake company emails.  The one thing in common is that 99% of this spam contains some variation of "...@mcbi.edu" buried in the header info.   I created a rule in outlook to move anything with "mcbi" in the header to junk which at least helps weed them out.   I've also started logging into AOL Mail directly just to report it all as spam...but wondering if that is just and exercise in futility.   Very frustrating.

Yeah, I’ve been going in multiple times a day and marking things as spam as well. Hopefully it isn’t an exercise in futility and if enough people keep doing it something will improve.

There is a ridiculous amount of SPAM of late (2022) on my VERIZON.NET email address and no amount of "reporting SPAM" is taking care of it! Verizon simply passing it off as an AOL problem is unacceptable. Clearly AOL is unable to block the SPAM and something must be done ASAP.

There isn't much Verizon can do about this problem as the company stopped supporting @verizon.net Email addresses a long time ago. Also, AOL is no longer affiliated/associated with Verizon.

The amount of spam email on the verizon.net AOL email has gotten totally out of hand the last two weeks.

We went from maybe one or two spam emails a day to over 40 -50 spam emails a day. I pay a lot for my Verizon service like "everyone." You would think Verizon on behalf of its customers would at least be an advocate for Verizon users and see what they could do. AOL email is a total joke!
