Although I'm able to send to and receive emails from a particular sender, when I hit the "reply" button to answer him, the Verizon spam filter bounces the mail back to me. I've tried forwarding the the bounced emails to both "spamdetector.update@verizon.net" (as recommended on Verizon's website) and to "spamdetector@verizon.net" (as recommended by an online Verizon agent), but in both cases, the Verizon postmaster bounces the forwarded emails back to me, basically saying the addressee is unknown. So in brief, I can't reply to my friends emails, and I can't reach the Verizon spamfilter update. Help?
Are you sending from webmail to the spamdetector address, or using an email client? I know using thunderbird I was unable to send to the spamdetector account as well, but it worked though the verizon webmail.
Also, in your message, are there any links/other html code that could possibly be throwing the system off?
I am having the same trouble I havnt been able to send a email for months I call them and they tell me it will be fixed in 24 hours they will call me back its all a scam I hear the same thing every time. they try to remote fix it send me to tech support.

Hello retirednow15
Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.
Please go to your profile page here on the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions.
To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe".
Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
