POP3 mail servers locking up and very slow! What is the deal with this? Verizon does not monitor these situations? Residential mail a low priority. Businesses run their own servers. Now we are back to having server issues again with Verizons Email? Last time mail was being delayed and now servers connect and lock up!
FWIW I am not experiencing any slowdowns or lockups on email. I Just checked two of my Verizon email accounts and no problem. But it is almost an hour since you posted so maybe Verizon fixed something?

Both my POP and SMTP servers slow or stall much of the time. I am not impressed with Verizon's handling of email. I get much better response from the free servers at Yahoo and Gmail. I guess this is a case of not getting what you pay for.
This seems to be a consistent problem. I have had it for some number of months now. Sometimes I wonder how people can have difficulty running servers like this as the code has been around for decades. (Maybe their equipment has too.)
