Why can't FIOS deliver a real SPAM filter? If I check SPAM it still gets delivered. With all the money I pay each month, I should have a Barrcuda type filter. The only reason I can think of is that these companies paying Verizon to deliver their emails.

Look at the one on AOL mail.  The previous one was NOT developed or maintained by Verizon. 

They have stated the intent to move everyone to AOL mail while maintaining the current POP and SMTP settings.  They already moved their California, Florida and Texas customers to AOL(a few months prior to their sale to Frontier.)  AOL is now a Verizon company.
