I was able to update my Mac to the new SSL email settings without issues, but my VW Blackberry will not accept the SSL changes. Specifying SSL and the port is straightforward, but when trying to save the changes it states that the entered info is incorrect. I suspect this is due to the fact that the Blackberry software only has an entry field for the incoming POP server and which is incorrect for outgoing messages. I cannot find an editable field for the outcoming SMTP server.
after much trial and...error.... found that I needed to delete the exisiting verizon.net email account from my blackberry, then add the account as a new account. the settings are automatically entered - and you are off and running.
