I began service on 12/18/2014 and set up a verizon.net email address. I can log in and check my inbox. I can view my settings and it confirms my address to be <<my name>>@verizon.net.
However when I try to email that address I get a bounceback message. I have tried sending an email to <<my name>>@verizon.net from yahoo email, gmail, and my work email, and all of them get similar bouncebacks. And of course, nothing is showing up in my inbox.
The bounceback looks like this (ientifying information redacted):
