Am trying to send mail from an industrial control board which supports authentication but not encryption. Same issue can occur with scanning and emailing. Any thoughts on configs/workarounds. "Tech support" has no idea what i am trying to do. Google apps cloud service supports this but requires another account
I am wondering the same thing.
I have a Canon ImageRunner which supports authentication, but not encryption. How can I use my Verizon.NET e-mail account with this MFP?
Thank you.
It may still work using port 587, but maybe not.
Anyone have any additional information on this or suggestions on how to use verizon.net email addresses with devices which do not support encryption / SSL?
I don't think Verizon supports any un-encrypted email service any longer. Many other ISPs and email services have also moved to only encrypted. Sorry but I have no suggestion.
