Does anyone know if it is possible to set up a desktop alert  for new emails with verizon?  If it is possible, then how do you do it?

Use an email client and it can be set to play a WAV file for received email in general or a specific WAV file based upon a rule or sender.

I have a rules that play different attention getting WAV files depending on who sent me the email.
