Synching Verizon Inbox to Iphone 5

I can delete mail from my device...and it is removed from inbox.  When i delete from inbox it does not remove for phone.  All settings are correct as i can see and updates were made according to instructions sent.  Can this not be done?

I don't know anything about email on cell phones--I don't own a cell phone because of my hearing loss--so I'm not sure about what sorts of options are avaliable but check and see if there is an option like "keep mail on server" and UNcheck it--with this option checked, even if you delete an email, it is still available on the server (for at least a period of time) and often people leave mail on the server when they access email from different devices...
