Too many emails stored

Verizon is currently storing more than 600 emails to me and my online site.

I want to delete more than 500. But I really do not want to click a tiny box more than 500 times. I would also prefer not to have so many stored, anywhere.

My questions:

How can I get rid of the vast majority of those emails? (They try to download to my Smartphone every time I log on.) And how can I restrict the number stored?

If you use a program like Outlook or other email client to access your mail (versus the web site) you can multi-select the messages and then delete them.

I don't think you can "restrict the number stored."

Settings- general settings - display - messages per page - set to 50  - refresh the page -

select all  rows with the check box next to sender heading - then you can delete all that are selected (50 at a time)

(CTL click the check box to not delete any individual email)

As stated there are no restrictions but you can set up blocking with delete for SPAM or adddresses you have no interest in . (settings - email settings - blocking).

My thanks to both responses. Good old Verizon's tech people helped me out with this. And Apple's did the rest. So there's one more dragon slain.
