Unable to access/change password for Verizon Yahoo Email

I got a new iphone today.  I am unable to access my email and when I go to the Verizon Yahoo page to reset the password, I am redirected to the Verizon page and the Verizon Yahoo page does not recognize the new password.  Please help!

Hi amccaff, If there is a special character in your password, login to Verizon.com, click on where it says HI and your name to go into the Profile for the Verizon.com website. Go down to Security then Change Password and change the Verizon Password from a Password that DOES use a Special Character to one that DOES NOT… Then log out and back in confirm that the password change has worked and then go to the Verizon.yahoo.com website and login.
