Unknown e-mail address in the "From" drop-down box

When I compose/reply to/forward an e-mail, the "From" field has a drop down box.  My regular e-mail address is there and a second address is also there.  I did not create this second e-mail address.  I want to get rid of it, but I cannot find it anywhere in my settings.  Anyone know how to delete it?

What email sotware are you using? What OS?

I'd be willing to bet that the other email address you are seeing is your Verizon-assigned vzid. If that's the case, you cannot remove it. It should be something like vzexxxxx or resxxxxx.
