I have been working on this for 2 weeks. I am so frustrated. I think VERIZON FIOS is blocking all my EMAIL ports. I have a FEDORA 20 LINUX server setup with SENDMAIL. and I am unable to send email out to my YAHOO or GMAIL inbox.
I have setup everything. Forwarded ports on my ROUTER. allowed ports in my IPTABLES, assigned the port in my sendmail.mc file. forwarded ports in my LINUX server. It is still not sending mail out to my YAHOO inbox.
Anyone know VERIZON is blocking all the ports?
What port are you trying to use outbound?
VZ blocks port 25 outbound on residential accounts.
No ports are blocked inbound.

Verizon blocks port 25 outbound
Port 465 is used for the gmail smtp server
I use port 465 for the Verizon smtp server too.
Are you perhaps not passing your Verizon email userid and password to the outbound verizon smtp server??
As said port 25 is blocked. INBOUND AND OUTBOUND EXCEPT TO VERIZON SERVERS.

Except to authorized verizon email servers and business accounts 25 is just plain blocked in transit through verizon servers

Well actually I would say that all inbound ports are blocked unless you choose to open them via a port forwarding rule..

More than that. Unless you have a business account port 25 traffic will not reach your location. Has nothing to do with what is blocked in your router.
I'll believe you.
I never had anything listening on port 25 so never bothered to see if it could be opened.
I figure his issue is that he's not providing the userid and password for access to smtp.verizon.net.
