Verizon Email YDS billing

Verizon migrated all email to AOL back in February 2017, and AOL supports email free of charge on basic accounts. Yet, 15-months after the migration Verizon continues to bill for a service they no longer provide or support? Why are customers receiving collections notices for past due charges stemming from a service Verizon no longer provides, months after the migration? Why can't anyone at Verizon answer the questions and resolve the problem?? -Frustrated!!
