Verizon erased my emails starting from Jan 2012

Several days ago something has happened on my email account. I kept at least 25 emails dated back to the beginning of the year. They all gone in a blink of the eye.

Since that time every day a couple of existing emails keep disappearing. Yesterday I received 5 email. They all gone by now without me deleting any one.

I've noticed as soon as I download my emails, they are gone from the server and cannot be accessed from the Internet.

What's going on with Verizon email service? I'd like to get my lost emails back.

are you using outlook or a similiar email program?

outlook has this setting, is this setting checked?

I use "Windows Mail."

Before that has happened my emails used to stay on the server. Email options do not allow for deletion of them from the server.

I suspect a virus, but my antivirus program hasn't detected anything.
