On the "add new contact" page, how can I enter an extension ffor a tlephone number?

The only way would be to attach it to the end of the 10 digital telephone number to make it one long number. That field will not take any characters to denote an extension.

I am trying to have a remote user connect to my Mac.  I have an application running and he has the client application.  When he pings my IP address it returns "no host found".  What's the secret?
