When accessing my Verizon email through a browser (I use Chrome), I go to webmail.verizon.net, enter my credentials, and I'm up and running.
This week, the log-in page looks the same, except the field for Password is not accessible (covered by the red of the box where the log-in fields appear). I have tried tabbing into it, but attempts to log in just take me to a screen for Accessibility Problems.
I am able to access my email from Verizon residential's main pages, which means I log into my whole account and navigate my way into email. This is not an acceptiable solution. I need to go straight to email, several times a day.
Accessibility on my iOS devices remain unchanged and fine (they are not browser-based).
Please advise.
Thank you.

THey have changed this to match some of the other pages.
Enter just your userid on the first screen. After you hit enter, a new screen comes up and asks you for your password.

This is webmail in chrome for me it appears to be working. Have you tried clearing cookies and or cache or trying another browser just to check.
Thank you!!
That is completely annoying. Email should not need a two-step sign-in; makes an essential part of every-day life more difficult to use instead of easier.

I was still entering my password and it took me to different pages. Looks like I now enter my user ID, go to a new page, enter my password, THEN get access to my email. More steps instead of fewer is a backward step in my opinion.
Thanks for offering a suggestion!
And this is what you will see in the future. OP and I are seeing it now.
Yep it looks like they went to the 2 step authentication.
I don't understand why the password field is missing from the webmail login page.
https://webmail.verizon.com/signin/Login.jsp
This one has the log in and password on the right side
I have spoken to several techs and they all try to divert me from the login page.
I have several seniors that use email and it is hard for them to keep clicking to enter their password.
They think there is something wrong with their computers. Many of them have just given up and I don't blame them.
So you computer gecks need to make the webpage user friendly, and not harder to use.
Now much of what people need to do is all on line and its gets harder for people to use,
please put it back or at least use the login page you had before with the login and password on the right side.
It had larger type for the sight challenged and was easier for people to use.
If it is in fact to stop hackers then make it harder for them not your customers.
I got confused about that myself but then I figured it out. It has now been broken down into a 2 step process for security reasons. Type in your usename on the sign in page and click on "sign in." When you do that, you will get directed to a second page which will then ask you for your password.
I never received any email communication or notification in the mail about this, which is so typical.
Running Windows 8.1 and IE11. Since early September I ahve been unable to use the familiar red login screen. The User name area has a location to enter but the password area is not available. when I look at the last login date it says Sept 15 2014. Yet I have been opening emails using 'other' login screen but these take multiple entries to get to read my mail.
I chatted with Verizon support and they found a different way to log on. It held for one day and then reverted to the no password screen.
I also tried logging in using Chrome and Firefox with the same results.
Any ideas?
