Yet another unwarranted blacklisting

This seems to be a regular "feature" on verizon.net email forums. A server that I run (with a static IP) that is not a spammer (per the numerous other blacklists it does not appear on) has been blacklisted by Verizon. So of course I have filed the form at verizon.net/whitelist and requested removal. Twice, I have received:

-------------------------------------------------------------

After investigation, Verizon Online Security has determined that e-mail from your IP address will not be allowed access to the Verizon Online e-mail domain due to one or more of the following reasons:

Your IP has been blocked because of spam issues or because your ISP indicates that it is dynamically assigned

Once you have addressed any security-related issues on your network, you should  contact Verizon Online Security via this form. At that time, we will work with you to restore normal e-mail traffic or to take other action as we deem appropriate.

Sincerely,

Verizon Online Security

There is, of course, no form link from this email. And there is, of course, no one listening at abuse@verizon.net or whitelist@verizon.net. And there is, of course, no actual phone number referenced that one might call.

So, I am happy to work with a live person and provide them all the information they would need to resolve this issue. I send email to the members of an organization, and currently about 1/6 of those members are unable to receive the emails that they signed up to receive (and are more than welcome to unsubscribe from via link or personal request at any time) and are thus "out of the loop" with the happenings of the organization. The server in question has been successfully sending to verizon.net emails for over a year and a half, but not for the past several weeks. Please advise and please resolve this matter quickly.

I too am in the same boat. Unfortunately, Verizon says they can't do much about it.

Their "feature" of spam blocking is really more hurtful than it is helpful, all I have ever seen it done is block legitimate servers (for no valid reason) costing not only me but I'm sure other users business.

Good luck!!

Hi CraigWiggins,

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.

Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
