How do I stop the spam! I've unsubscribed, have the spam filter turned on, and block every possible spam email that I can but they just keep coming. Help!
While I still was a verizon customer I had to accounts (one for each of my homes). The email associated with one got flooded with spam. the other received about 5 that weren't blocked. Note that I now only have one email that was moved to aol (I am now full time florida), fortunately that one that only received a few email.
The Verizon Email blocker is supplied by another party. It has steadily gotten poorer at blocking spam as Spammers became smarter. It probably is getting even less support as Verizon had announced the intent to move all all emails accounts to AOL.
Moral, how much spam you get is dependent on how exposed your EMAIL id has been to spammers. Spammer trade and sell lists with other spammers. Consider using a secondary email id (you have five with FIOS) that you can burn if it starts getting overloaded with spam.
