cannot connect to verizon.net email on my smart phone

having problems connecting on my smartphone. keeps telling me server not availible. using pop.verizon.net with ssl and port 995, smtp.verizon.net, ssl and port 465. my wife is having same problem. anyone now whats going on?

Same here.... It worked fine yesterday.

Go to webmail.verizon.com and verify you can log in with username and password.

Same status as the two of you. Unable to send/receive emails through Outlook or smartphones.  Only way to see email is to login to webmail.

The webmail worked fine, it's clearly not my account...

same here - none of my emails will pull in outlook this morning, and webmail does work .... I hope this is not going to start again!

Ditto.  Can't connect either by FiOS or via cellular data... either on a PC or a phone.

Big outage.  Not you.  Verizon (#sucks) is working on it.

Same here, support online chat is 1 hour 5 minute wait.
