cannot open winmail

I recently used In-House Agent to correct an email problem - while he attempted to fix the problem something happened to my WinMail and I cannot open it.  Today, they tell me I have to contact the original manufacturer to reinstall it.  I tend to believe it can be fixed.  Any suggestions?

Hello HH,

The In Home Agent program can assist you with the email account settings but not repair the Windows Mail program.  If the program itself will not even start/open that would require the program manufacture assistance or reinstallation.  The program would need to open to adjust any individual account settings.

Some of attachments are coming in winmail.dat- They are sending in word, excel or Adobe but i am recieiving them in winmail.dat form and they will not open? Thankls Todd
