how do you open folders in verizon mail. the list of folders comer after clicking "folders", but i can't open the folder.

You should be able to click on the folders in your left side-bar to open them, just like you do with your Inbox. Sent, etc.

If you don't see them there, you might have the section collapsed. Check for and arrow or plus sign to expand it.
