email hacked--can't change password

My email account (Verizon Yahoo) has been hacked, and I am trying to change my password, but the only password I can change is the one for my overall Verizon account, not the email account.  Help!

You should be able to go here https://webmail.verizon.com/signin/ select the Forgot User ID or Password? link put your Verizon email account user id, click continue to reset the password using the options of having temp password sent to a notification email address or Answer the secret Question option to reset the password.

Since your account is hacked, once you change the password to a different, difficult to guess password, change the secret Questions and answers as well. Also run virus scan on your machines.

Your solution only changes the password for MY VERIZON-NOT FOR VERIZON EMAIL!!!!!
