email port blocking

Since VZ is no longer in the email biz, does this mean port 25 is going to be unblocked so many of us can use our own email servers AGAIN??

This is why many of us got our own domains and such - SO WE DIDN'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH EMAIL ADDRESS CHANGES  DUE TO SOME COMPANY'S WHIMSY.

We had to jump through hoops finding work-arounds with the email relaying.... now we are getting slammed with this.

Not good for business.

I doubt it.  And they are really not out of the email business.  Just moving it to a Subsidary.
