I am getting the following intermittent error "err connection limited reached for your ip address" since this morning. It must have something to do with changing to the SSL ports. This applies to this account and my sub-accounts.
How do I get it fixed?
Thanks
This is now a known issue on the Verizon end. The only advice Verizon is giving at this point is to go back to the old email port settings. This has been a fiasco!
Verizon's getting some serious issues with connection limits on their mail servers. Lots of folks are affected by it, and Verizon is aware of it. Hope they fix it sometime soon, though. E-mail should arrive at irregular intervals, so it's a matter of leaving the program open and browsing around until your mail client connects and hopefully, does not time out.
This issue was supposedly resolved by Verizon. Are you still getting this error?
I have the same problem on my Windows 7 desktop. When I went into Live Chat support, I was assured that it would be fixed by Saturday, Jan 7 2012. But it was not still have the same issues. The old ports still work.
Curiously, the new ports and SSL works fine on my iPhone.
