is it my email or the other persons that was hacked?

I've gotten several emails from what appeared at first to be from two of my contacts.....  meaning when I see the message header is has the contacts name with a short message saying "Hi Richard, you need to look at " with a weblink attached.  I've never clicked the link and deleated the messages but after getting several of them I finally clicked on the contact name and it show a completly diffrent email address than the one of the real contact one.   So, was my mail hacked or was it theirs?
