message center - Compose won't load

One of my e-mail addresses updated to the new message center when I logged in from work.  Now, when I try to use e-mail from home, I can't compose or reply to e-mails - it hangs up saying "loading compose".  I have Windows XP and IE-7.  I tried the on-line live help - he cleared my temp folders and cookies, said it might be browser related, said would update the browser, and lost me when the computer re-booted.  Never tried to contact me back (even after asking for my contact tel. number - arg.)  So can I change back to the old e-mail format?  I don't want to upset the delicate software balance on this computer.

Sorry but there is no way to go back to the old email format. Please try updating your browser to the newer IE8 (if not IE 9).
