When I send a message that does not get through (e.g. to a bad email address), I do not receive any sort of notification that it failed. Why is this and how can I enable it?
Is this with sending to a bad address at any domain/sender, or only specific ones?
If it's specific ones, I would check to see if you have that domain/sender in your Blocked Senders list.
If it's everything, I would check to see if you have some sort of filter set up with some part of the Delivery Failure message being blocked.
Can't hurt to check both, just in case.
Certainly mail to Verizon gets notification of failed delivery because of bad addresses. And many other ISP's report back such things. But not all, and many end users have verification of mail delivery also turned off.
