I am attaching the email I received and wondering if it is liget.

Dear Valued Verizon Customer,

This notice is to advise you of a change to your Verizon account.  As part of our conversion to a new billing system, your account number will change.  The new account number will be effective on or after November 1, 2014 and can be found on the first page of your bill.   

What this means for you:

  • If you pay your Verizon bill using your bank’s online bill pay service, you will

  need  to update the Verizon payment   information   with your new account 

  1. Taking this step will help to ensure the payment is applied to your
  • If you are mailing in your payment, please write your new account number on

  the check or money order to ensure proper processing.

  • If you are enrolled in any of our Auto Pay options, we will automatically update

  the account number associated with your payment; so you do not need to take

  any action.

Yes its a looks like a real email.  Its something they announced they were doing.

This is a Legitimate email. Update your bank records if you use your Banks Bill pay system if not you have nothing to worry about. The only thing that will change is the account #. You will still be able to pay the same online @ verizon.net.
