how to we retrieve our e-mail once it is suspended?

After some searching the consensus seems to be you will need to contact tech support via telephone 1-800-VERIZON (1-800-837-4966)

I am in a dead zone for calling verizon where my laptop is. Sure I can go to the library where there is phone service but that is over 20 miles away. I would like to fix my e-mail and restore it after it was suspended. I am not sure what causes suspension.

Last night when I signed off the computer accecped 22 download updates. I have no controll over the fact that they installed if that is the reason. the weather was ony foggy not even rain but the TV did go to squares of stop action this am in the fog. So was it bad weather or excessive downloads  I can be sure it was not the bill that is paid.
