i am planning to leave verizon in the near future. is there any way to extend the life of my @verizon.net e-mail addresses for a few months to ease the transition to a new server?
Check out this link: not sure if its still valid but worth a shot
They don't do it over the phone, but you can do it if you order a domain over the internet with Verizon. It has to be a Verizon Purchased domain. when you do that, it links to your verizon.net email address, and preserves it even if you close the rest of your account, as long as your domain account stays open (which it should, I believe it's seperately billed $20/year)
Oh Neat! they made a new website for it. This seems much easier to follow.
